Freedom

Why are so many people alone, empty and struggling with life?  People all over the world are battling with life rather than living Free. From the person that is homeless on the street, to the wealthy person who seems to have it all, people all over the world have become slaves to strongholds, addictions and self pleasure.

Some struggle from a lifestyle of drugs trying to escape their reality or to kill the pain of past and current emotional and physical hurts. The feeling and escape is only temporary forcing the user into harder drugs, leading to a continuous, habitual, destructivelifestyle.

Others find that life is more tolerable with the occasional drink then one drink leads to another and for every struggle in that person’s life they reach for the bottle for answers. After many years of regret and empty promises the alcoholic finds themselves alone, empty and physically killing themselves through their pursuit of happiness.

Strongholds that our society doesn’t acknowledge are sexual and pornographic addictions. The allure of pornography and sex promise pleasure without rejection and without commitments, however these are empty and the desires are never satisfied often driving the individual farther than the ever wanted to go until they have lost everything. They end up with a life scarred with emotional pains.

In each situation, the person is trying to fill a void in their incomplete life with an incomplete solution.  Each addiction / struggle, whether it is pornography, infidelity, Alcohol, drugs, the pursuit of wealth, all these are empty quests to be happy and complete.

Freedom

The Freedom experience is a non-traditional route that leads directly to Jesus Christ. Third River Ministries mission is to evangelize the world through non-traditional, grass roots community outreach sharing Freedom through testimonies by means of a relationship in Jesus Christ. Third River holds these events on neutral grounds (non-church locations) inviting all who will come to attend these free events where Freedom is shared.

The power is in Jesus Christ and how He meets people where they are and as they are in life today.

Freedom’s testimonial speakers share their life’s story of how they have been set Free from strongholds and addictions to a life of Freedom in Jesus Christ.  During the events we use uplifting music from local and national bands whose hearts desires are to see lives changed and set Free in Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we end the event with an opportunity for people to accept Jesus for themselves. By starting a new journey and entering the wonderful world of being His disciple.  We have partnered with IAMSECOND.com and offer discipleship and small groups for getting those who have decided to be set Free and plugged in locally.

Our Mission

True Freedom is experienced in a relationship with Jesus Christ. The mission of Third River Ministries is to evangelize the world through modern day crusades sharing Jesus Christ using personal testimonies of people whose lives have been radically set free from sin.

Our Beliefs

We believe that the Bible is without error and is literally the “Breath of God”. We know that Jesus Christ is the promised Jewish Messiah and that salvation comes by no other means than a relationship with Him which is evident with the seal (gifts) of the Holy Spirit. We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.   We also believe that the way God manifests Himself is one of the great mysteries that no human can totally understand or else He would cease to be God.
